Christopher A. Hinton, PhD-C, MBA, is a higher education leader, consultant, and researcher with a passion for driving transformation in leadership, education, and innovation. With a career spanning academia, institutional advancement, and human resource management, Christopher has been at the forefront of fostering student engagement, strategic development, and organizational change.
Academic and Professional Background
Christopher holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and is currently completing his PhD in Global Leadership at Indiana Institute of Technology (expected 2025). His dissertation, Leading the Future: A Phenomenological Study Exploring the Lived Experiences of Generation Z Black Professionals in Student Affairs Leadership at HBCUs, reflects his deep commitment to equity, generational leadership, and institutional innovation.
As Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Barber-Scotia College, Christopher has played a pivotal role in fundraising, accreditation efforts, and strategic partnerships, securing substantial funding to revitalize the institution. His work continues to drive forward initiatives that empower historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and their students.
